What more can I say, I wanted to like it but it doesn’t even last as long as the default G1 battery. I’m lucky to have it run 3/4 of a day.

I have a launch G1 with notoriously bad battery life. I purchased this battery hoping for a little extra juice. Unfortunately, it didn’t work out that way.
The Seidio Extended Life Battery has a considerably higher capacity than the standard battery, almost 50%, but I saw no improvement in battery life over my year old stock battery. I may have just purchased a faulty unit, but I was disappointed in this product’s performance.

I love my G1 one, but with the factory battery of 1150Mah I was charging my phone overnight and running out of power at 1-4 pm every single day. I knew that I needed to upgrade my battery, and decided on the 1400Mah model because it fit in the phone without a larger back cover. I do not know how they do it, but this battery is AMAZING! I followed the instructions that came with it and charged it with my phone powered off overnight for almost 17 hours. The next 2 days that I have used the phone I have it set to maximum brightness with wifi enabled, and it has lasted til 10pm both days without charging! And, at these times the phone still has 30% battery life or more!
I recommend this to anyone with a G1 that is annoyed at their battery life. Must have, best $40 I’ve ever spent.

I bought this battery in March 2009. Up and until recently, now February 2010, the battery has repeatedly failed to maintain a charge. When I first started using the battery, the battery indeed give me extended time with my phone. I would say about a few extra hours. The battery worked great. Every evening I would set it to charge around midnight and wake up around 8 in the morning. I could use my phone with basic use, phone calls, surfing the web, using apps, and still have one bar of juice by 10pm that evening. For the past month, the battery dies after several hours. I don’t know if this is the life expectancy of this battery or not, but I would expect it to last at least a year.
